Welcome to Simply Creative Journey!

Hello!

I am so glad that you are here! My name is Mandy Varney, and I’m a writer, product creator, blogger, and homeschooling mom to two crazy, yet awesome kiddos. When I am not working and teaching, I can be found with my kids hiking, cooking (ok, mostly baking because we all love sweets!), or exploring my beautiful home state of Maine. I also love sharing helpful information with other homeschool moms on education, having fun as a family, living on a budget, and life as a busy mom.

We started on our homeschool journey in 2014 when my daughter was in kindergarten and haven’t looked back since! I love the freedom it gives us in how we structure our days and school year as well as the freedom to teach what I feel is best for my children and what best aligns with our Christian faith.

However, being a homeschool mom can be so overwhelming, and at times, frustrating. As moms we tend to try and do it all, all of the time; being everything to everyone. I know that I am totally guilty of this! I’m a single mom, and trying to juggle it all, while staying on budget and still have the time, energy, and money to make fun memories with my kids can be exhausting.

That’s why I started Simply Creative Journey! It’s a place you can come to and find encouragement as well as practical, low-prep, budget friendly ways to help you (and me!) navigate through life as busy homeschool moms. Here on the blog and in my shop you will find:

• Creative ways to have fun as a family.

• Valuable, easy to use printables.
• And words of encouragement (because we all need more of that sometimes!).
