I think I can speak for millions of people when I say that chocolate is awesome! It is by far one of my favorite sweet treats, and my children think it’s pretty great too! But there’s so much more to chocolate than just its tasty goodness!

You can learn more about chocolate through doing a fun and unique unit study (or just by reading a few books about it). It’s a great topic for anytime of the year, but it would also be the perfect thing to study around Valentine’s Day, or for World Chocolate Day (on July 7th), International Chocolate Day (on September 13th), or National Chocolate Day (on October 28th). Wow, there are lots of days celebrating chocolate!

And since we love books at our house, that’s where I like to start when planning a new unit. I hope that this list of the best children’s books about chocolate will be helpful as you plan and learn more about this yummy treat!
